Wiemers Happenings

This is Cooper before Church on Sunday.

Daddy and Cooper

Carrie came down on Sunday after Church for a few hours to see and play with Cooper. We enjoyed her company. While she watched Cooper and Scott took a nap, I painted our front door.

The new front door. I didn't get a picture of Scott working on Saturday but he had to reset our toilet and I cleaned the carpets. After working around the house on Saturday we went to Church to cook for the Aggies for Christ. We enjoyed our weekend at home and taking it easy.

Cooper taking a bath tonight. He likes to lift his bottom up and slide off the hump. It is getting hard to bathe him. He is able to sit up for several seconds by himself so maybe he will be sitting soon.

Blessed

Tonight as I was putting Cooper to sleep I had on some soothing music while I was feeding him in his room. I was just sitting and staring at him and just started crying. Instead of putting him down and letting him go to sleep I decided to rock him. I sat there probably for 30 minutes just rocking and thinking about how truly blessed I am. So many times I take for granted all the blessings in my life. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband, beautiful son, and a great family (immediate and extended). There are so many people in this world that don't have anyone to call their family, a family or place to go home to, or someone to love and love them back. I just want to thank all the people in my life and let you all know how much you all mean to me. Sometimes I just need to stop and realize what all God has given me. Thank You Lord. God Bless!!!

Oops!!!

Scott got a hair cut alright. He put the guard on the clippers and I started down the middle like I always do and then I busted out laughing. He put the guard on that I use for the sides instead of the one I use for the top. I always start with the top and then put on the shorter guards for the sides. I laughed for about 5 minutes before I could finish. He was not mad thank goodness.

I added a few pictures that I have taken of Cooper this week.

Cooper got this shirt from our friends down the street.

He loves to watch TV.

Cooper Eating Cereal

This is Cooper's 4th time to eat cereal. He does so good! He has started opening his mouth now when he is ready for a bite and hardly push any out with his tongue. You really can't tell a lot from this video but I just had to post it. The doctor said starting cereal early should help with his acid reflux.

Shopping and First Road Trip

Last weekend Scott's parents came down to celebrate Carrie's birthday. They all got here Friday night. Saturday the girls and Cooper went to Arlington shopping. We had a great time together! I did not buy anything for myself but I did get a few things for Cooper. I had pictures on Scott's computer but can't find them. I was waiting to post until he got back from Houston so I could upload the pictures. (Mimi always has her camera handy. She even took it shopping.)

Scott left out Sunday night for Houston but I stayed here until Monday because Cooper had his 4 month check up. Monday afternoon we headed to my parents so I did not have to be here all week by myself. We had a good time visiting with everyone for a few days. It was Cooper and his Mommy's first road trip by ourselves. Surprisingly Cooper did very well. He does not like to be in his car seat. He slept most of the way down there and stayed awake and played on the way back. When we got home today he took a 3 1/2 hour nap.

4 Month Check-Up

Cooper went for his 4 month check up yesterday. He weighted 15 lbs. 9 oz. and was 26 inches long. He had to get 3 shots. I had to take him by myself because Scott is in Houston. The doctor said we could start him on rice now to help his acid reflux. I gave him some last night and he did pretty well. He did not tongue thrust too much out of his mouth. I will try some more tonight and see how he does.

Already 4 Months

Our little man is getting so big so fast. I can't believe it has been four months already. This is his new hat I got him last weekend. Isn't he so handsome!!! He has really changed a lot this month, more than any other. He is a very happy baby and smiles alot.
Cooper is:
*rolling over
*laughing a lot
*started growling
*starting to push up with his arm extended
*reaches and grabs a toy and then goes right to his mouth
*talks himself to sleep. It is so sweet!!!
*CUTTING TEETH ( I tried to take a picture to show the little bumps on his gums but couldn't get one) He chews on everything and is drooling like crazy.
*Can sit unsupported for about 3 to 4 seconds.
* He still eats about 4-5 oz. every 31/2 hours. Trying to get to 4 hours. Before bed he has been eating 8 oz. He weighted 14lbs. 6 oz. when we went to the doctor almost 2 weeks ago.

I don't know if you can tell or not but he is lifting his head off the carrier and trying to sit up. He does this all the time when we are riding in the car.

Getting ready to go for a walk. It was warm outside but a little windy.

Roll Over... Roll Over...

Cooper rolled over from his back to his stomach yesterday(2/2/09). It is so cute. He works so hard and his face turns red. He does it almost every time you put him on his back now. Yeah Cooper!!! This video is with my phone because I could not get it to download from my camera. I tried for hours last night. I even tried it with my video camera. It was an ABK file and I could not get it changed to another one so it would except it.

Sister Time

This weekend Ashley came down to go shopping since Scott, my Dad, and Jordan went varmint hunting. I think they enjoyed it. I know they were all pumped about it. Ashley had a rough start getting here because she had a flat tire on the interstate. She finally made it about 10 Friday night. Poor thing. We went to Arlington to the Parks mall shopping so she could go to DSW shoes. She has such a little foot and has a hard time finding shoes. We only shopped for about 4 hours and then headed back home to take Cooper's 3 month pictures and a few Mommy and Me pictures. We had a great weekend and got to spend some quality sister time together. We laughed alot and had fun. We have not spent time together in a long time.

I absolutely love this picture of Cooper. You did a great job Ashley.

This is another one of my favorites.

Aunt Ashley and Cooper after Church.

All of Ashley's shoes. She got most of them 30 to 50% off.
