Where Have I Been?

Where have I been....??? Well life has been crazy the past few weeks. As most of you know Scott lost his job. It is a long story and we won't go into the details right now. So now Scott is Mr. Mom and I am back at work. It has not been as bad as I thought it would be. I guess Cooper getting to stay at home with Scott makes it a lot easier. I have to give Scott some credit, he has really been helping out a lot. He has kept the house picked up and all the laundry done. Thanks Babe!!!Last weekend we went to NB to visit Scott's family and had a good time. We left in a turmoil and I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures. This weekend we drove to Abilene to Morgan's 5th Birthday.

Scott and Kennedy sharing a cupcake. No, this is not a pose for the camera they were really sharing it.

Cooper and all the girls!!! I looked over and he had all these little girls around chasing him.

Cooper tearing tissue paper. He was in hog heaven!!!

Cooper loves to read. We went to Wal-Mart and I looked back and he was reading his book.

Cooper helping Daddy washing the car.

His diaper got so soaked that we had to take it off so he just played out in the water naked!!! He was having a blast!!!

Cooper is 10 Months Old!!!

Cooper is 10 months old today. He is into everything you can imagine and busy, busy, busy. He has really started playing well by himself. This is his new face he makes while going hoo, hoo, like an owl. He pulls up on everything, is still cruising, eating some finger foods, waves bye-bye and hi, says mama, dada, and bye-bye, plays peekaboo, turns pages in a book, and rolls a ball back and forth. He is the joy of our lives and makes us so happy. We could not ask for a better baby.

Turning the pages in the book for Daddy.

My little sweetie pie!!! Yes, I died my hair dark. I know it is a big change but I was tired of paying to get it done. I have always been blond but my hair is starting to turn dark.

Cooper loves to play with an empty tea carton.

We painted Scott's office Monday night. I really like how it turned out. It changes things a lot with just a little paint.

Too Many Garden Veggies???

Scott and I planted a garden and we are just now starting to get squash and my parents have been keeping us loaded up on squash, zucchini, and okra. So this morning I blanched some zucchini and carrots and froze it for later, battered and froze squash and okra for frying. If you want to batter and freeze veggies for frying here is an easy way.

1 c. corn starch
1 c. corn meal
1/2 c. flour
salt to taste
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. water

Mix dry ingredients in plastic bag
Mix water and egg in bowl.
Drop veggies in water mixture and then into dry mixture.
Shake and cover well.
Place on cookie sheet and put in freezer. Once frozen place in zip lock bag.
