Pray for Cooper

Please say a little prayer for Cooper. We found out this morning he has Strep. We were up most of the night last night with him. He had a fever of 100.3 before we went to bed and we woke up about 3:00 and it was 103.7 and that was with Motrin in his system. I have to say it was a little scary. You could tell he was not feeling good at all. He just wanted to be held and he felt like he was on fire. We have started him on an antibiotic and pray that it helps him soon. I hate seeing my little baby in pain. He would not eat or drink much today but finally tonight he ate and drank some. He was acting a little more like himself tonight. God Bless!

Tarleton Homecoming

This weekend we headed to Stephenville to the Tarleton Homecoming. Scott is alumni of Tarleton and he wanted to go back and see some old friends and they just happened to be playing ACU that weekend, so it worked out perfect to get to go back and see family. On Sunday we met Ashley and my mom to take Cooper's 1 year pictures and a few family pictures. I will post those later when Ashley gets them edited. So needless to say we were road warriors this weekend but it was fun to go and do.

Cooper on the field at half time.

Morgan cheesing for the camera.

Cooper and Kennedy had a good tome playing together.

I thought this was neat. It was on the campus.

Daddy and Cooper on Alumni Island!

Daddy and Cooper on the cannon on Tarleton's Campus.
I can't believe it but 4 years ago Scott and I took our engagement pictures in this same area.

Weekend Trip, Pumpkin Patch, and Visistor

GiGi came home with us from NB. She fell and hurt her knee so she had to use a walker. Cooper loved to take rides on it.

I just had to get this picture of Cooper sleeping. He is propped up on his bumper pad and pillow.

Pops and Mimi's neighbor pulling Cooper on his 4-Wheeler. No it does not have a motor, thank goodness!!!

Cooper trying to push the lawnmower. He thinks he is such a big boy!

We went to NB last weekend and they guys were building some goat pens. Cooper was right in the middle of it all.

Uncle Chad and Cooper at the pumpkin patch.

We took Cooper to the pumpkin patch while we were in NB. I love this picture of him. It was hard to take pictures because it was the wrong time of the day and the sun was in our eyes.

Just a few pictures

Yes, Cooper climbed up this ladder all by himself!!! I put him down in the garage and stepped out on the driveway and turned back around and he was already up four steps. We let him go to see how far he would go and he went all the way to the top!

Cooper loves to play in the cabinets. He seems to get into this one every night before bed.

Cooper and Daddy in their semi matching shirts.

Cooper in his new clothes he got for his Birthday. He looks like such a big boy in them.

After Church

Friday Cooper said bye bye to his bottles. He would not drink milk out of a sippy cup but would drink water out of one. So Friday morning we had a "Getting rid of bottles ceremony." He waved bye bye to the bottle and I said " No more bottles you're a big boy now and were are going to use a sippy cup." So we put the bottles in a box, put them up, and he is doing well drinking his milk from a cup. It is like he really new. Kids are so smart these days!

Happy 1st Birthday Cooper!!!

The Birthday Boy!!!

Our precious little boy turned one today! It seems just like yesterday he was born. A little 6lb. 15oz. baby boy and now he is 20lbs. 6 1/2 oz. and 30 in. long. God has truly blessed us with this miracle and we have enjoyed every minute of it. You could be having the worst day and you see his precious little smile and it makes it all better. He waves at anyone and everyone. For instance we were leaving Walmart tonight and he was waving at the cars driving by. He has 4 teeth, still cruising, will repeat words after you and loves to be outside. He has really started cuddling with us and gives kisses.

We had his party on Saturday here at the house. We were planning on having it outside in the back yard but it rained so we had to move it into the garage. I know not the ideal place but it all turned out great. He had a little Cowboy party. Thank you to all that came and drove so far and for all the gifts!!! Sorry I don't have too many picture because Ashley was using her camera to take pictures for me and Carrie was videoing.

Here he is in one of him in his new outfits and his new wagon.

All the kids took a turn in the wagon. Cooper was sitting back in it like it was his limo!

Digging into his pony cake. He smeared it everywhere!!! Can you believe he did not even eat a bite of it?

A picture with the birthday boy!!!

The crew ready for bed in their Halloween PJ's.

I have to tell you a funny story. Morgan called and sang Happy Birthday to Cooper. I put it on speaker phone and when he heard her start singing he smiled real big and started laughing. It was like he knew it was her. It was too cute!!!

What We've Been Up To

Work, work, work. That is what we did all weekend. We hauled a truck load of mulch in our flowerbeds, trimmed shrubs, washed cars, and went to Sam's to get stuff for Cooper's party. We are having his 1st Birthday next weekend so we have been busy getting everything ready. Of course Cooper was right in the middle of it all.

My two front teeth!!! Cooper has a top right and both bottom teeth. He is cutting his top left now. We were washing cars and he got in the soap tub and just had a seat. I got a video of it but I can't get it to download.

Daddy's little helper! Cooper was taking the mulch and throwing it on the ground. I foresee in a few years Cooper is going to be helping Daddy with everything he does. I better take advantage of time with him while I can.

He loves to play in the dirt. The only problem is he likes to put it in his mouth.

Recap

The past two weekends have been spent with family. Scott's parents came down Labor Day weekend and stayed a few days. We went to a birthday party, Lowe's to get flowers for our new flour bed, and then to Papasitos to eat supper. Cooper entertained us all as usual. This past weekend my parents, Whitney and the girls, and Scott's brother came down. ACU played at the Cotton Bowl and only Dad and Whitney went because the rain. The kids had a blast playing together and I think Chad might never have kids after the wild weekend. Kennedy was little mother hen to Cooper. It is so fun to watch them play together.

Cooper cut his first tooth Sunday (his top right) and I think his bottom ones are right behind. He has been sick since I got home from work today. He is throwing up and can't keep anything down. You couldn't tell he was sick though. He is crawling around playing like normal.

On a funny note, Scott left the toilet up Sunday afternoon and when I was getting ready for Church Sunday evening I heard splish, splash and looked over and Cooper was playing in the toilet.

Cooper was pushing the cart by himself at Lowe's

Gana reading to Kennedy and Cooper.

This is proof it was wild around here!!!

These pictures were taken outside Papasotios. It was so pretty, I want to go back and take a family picture there and enlarge it to put up in the house.
