Football, 5K, and more!

This past weekend Scott and I ran our first 5 K. We did pretty good I think considering it was our first. We placed 7th and 8th in our age group and finished in 27 minutes. Scott's brother chad also ran and finished 3rd in his age group. Mom came down to keep Cooper for the race so on Friday we had some mom/daughter time and did a little shopping.

Cooper showing off Uncle Chad's medal.
And yes there is a white table cloth on my sofa table because Cooper thinks it is a race track, landing strip, etc. and I don't want it to get all scratched up. Lol!

My friend Jenn and I before the race. Yes, it was a no make up kind of morning. This was about 6:30 am.

Cooper with his new blower.

Cooper and Daddy blowing off the grass after they mowed. Cooper comes to me and says "Shoes on like Daddy" then heads off with his blower just like daddy! So sweet!

This is Cooper being silly. I was doing laundry and he got Scott's socks and put them on. Too funny!

A few Friday nights ago Scott and I took Cooper to a Midlothian football game. Cooper just loved it! He watched the whole game and was just clapping and yelling!

Mommy and Cooper at the game.

While we were shopping I stopped to get one of those quick massages in the mall because I had a crick in my neck. So while I was there Gana took Cooper to build a bear and this is what he made. He loves it and can tell you all about what he did to build it. He says heart in it, filled it up, and bubble bath. While he is saying all this he is using his hands to tell the story. Haha! He got to put a heart in the bear and then stuff it. After they stuffed it he laid it on some fake bubble and and gave it a bath.

Happy 2nd Birthday Cooper!!!

Our sweet little boy turned two today! He is growing up way too fast! It is amazing how much they know and you don't even know it. For example the other day Cooper was sitting on the couch reading a book. He had memorized what each page said. They also watch everything you do. Cooper got a play weed eater for his birthday this year. He immediately took off going around the fence and the trees just like his daddy. It was too cute!
Cooper:
* Potty trained at 23 months
* Can say his ABC's
* Count to 10
* Weights about 26 lbs and we will find out his height on Thursday.
* He loves sports and is so rough!

This past weekend we had his 2nd birthday party with family and friends. The weather was absolutely perfect! We had a baseball party and Scott painted a baseball field in our back yard. The kids enjoyed playing baseball, breaking the pinata, and eating lots of yummy food. We had baseball food including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and lemonade. Here are a few (well a lot ) of pictures from the weekend.

Hey batter, batter, swing!

Cooper got a football helmet for his birthday and know exactly what to do after he puts it on.

If you enlarge this picture you can see it better. I think it is too cute! Cooper is all smiles and Morgan is jumping up and down with excitement!

A Little of This, A Little of That!

OK so this post is a little bit of everything. I will start out with a funny story.
We have been working a little on potty training and he is really excited when he goes. This morning he got up so I asked him if he wanted to go potty. He said "little "(he gets to choose the big potty or his little potty) so we go to the bathroom and he goes tee-tee in the potty. Yayyyy!!! I said "OK lets put your diaper on." He said "no potty." I told him he already went tee-tee in the potty. He insisted on staying in the bathroom so I just left him and went to the kitchen. He comes in the kitchen a few minutes later and tells me " snake, snake" and runs to the bathroom points to his potty and says "snake". I go look in the potty and he had gone poo poo! He knew better than I did I guess!!! I was so excited because this was the first time he had gone poo poo!

This weekend Cooper and I headed to Morgan's 6th Birthday party. Scott stayed home to help put a playground set together at our new church. While we were there Ashley took Cooper's two year old pictures. He didn't to cooperate very well because he was too busy getting into things.

Cooper loving on Kennedy in church Sunday.

Dad had to run to Whitney's before church on Sunday and Cooper had to go with him so he took my taho and this is what he came back with. All three grandkids happy as can be.

Jordan became Cooper's little buddy while we were there!

Camping

This Labor Day weekend we went to Perrin to Mitchell's RV Resort camping with my parents. We had a great time and Cooper was in hog heaven getting to be outside the whole time. We could not get him off the ranger. He would wake up in the morning and the first thing out of his mouth would be "Ranger". We enjoyed playing putt-putt, golfing, swimming, riding the train, Elvis, egg toss contest, and just sitting around relaxing and visiting.

Cooper chasing Gana with sand.

Gana and PaPaw at the Elvis concert.

Cooper loved playing with all the kids in the sand. It was the volleyball court but all the kids made it their huge sand box.

Scott and PaPaw watching Elvis.

Every year they have an Elvis impersonator come and put on a show. He is pretty good and embarrasses half the women when he comes and dances with them.

Gana was eating chocolate pie and then Cooper decided to start feeding it to her with his hands. It was so funny and he was getting a kick out of it.

Cooper taking Daddy for a ride! They have these old cars stripped down for all the kids to play in.

Cooper in the ranger eating bacon. He kept tell us "more bacon."

As you can tell we just got out of bed and had to go ride the ranger.

Cooper and PaPaw on the train.

We also celebrated my 28th birthday. This was a no make-up weekend.

Cooper tossing (more like a fast ball pitch) the egg to Daddy.

Daddy helping Cooper play putt-putt.

Putt-putt didn't last too long for Cooper. He found the waterfall and this is how it began.

And this is how it ended. What a little boy!

I told you Cooper didn't want off the ranger. They had it hooked up and ready to leave and he would not get off!

Cooper is 23 Months Old!

I can't believe in another month our little baby boy is going to be two! He is weighing in at a wooping 25lbs. 5oz. He is sleeping in his toddler bed and loves it! He just thinks he is so big. Here are a few pictures from this weekend which I will post more on later.
