Vacation 2011

Ok, two weeks after our vacation I am finally posting about it. Beware there are a lot of pictures! My parents asked us if we wanted to go on vacation with them to Wyoming. I told them we would go only if we could get tickets and fly. I wasn't about to put a two year old in the car for twenty hours. So we flew into Salt Lake City and my parents picked us up there and we drove to Jackson Hole, WY. It was Cooper's first plane ride and he loved it! He woke up at 4:00 the morning we were to fly out and said I'm ready to get on the airplane and go on vacation! Thank goodness he went back to sleep! We had a great time and did a lot of outdoor things. The weather was awesome but it was good to be back home in TEXAS!
Sorry the pictures are a little out of order but I am too lazy to rearrange them all.

Cooper's first plane ride! Sorry the picture is not so good.

This is my 25 inch trout I caught with Cooper's little pole and a piece of corn. I didn't think I was going to get it to the bank with that little pole!

Gana helping Cooper fish.

I just love this picture!

The Mud Volcano at Yellowstone.

Looking at a momma wolf and her three pups. She was white and the pups were jet black. This was in Yellowstone as well.

Mom and Dad at one of the many beautiful waterfalls in Yellowstone. You will have to excuse our hair, we were in Dad's Jeep all the windows down!

Checking out the buffalo grazing in the prairie. Cooper decided he needed to go for a swim in the river.

These hot springs in Yellowstone were such a beautiful blue color. It just amazes me that this is all nature!

This was a lookout tower in the hotel by Old Faithful.

Old Faithful!

While we were there we went on a chuck wagon ride and dinner. It was really neat and Cooper even got to help steer the wagon. They had Indians and a mountain man that would come out of the woods while we were riding the wagon up into the mountains. It was neat!

This is one of my favorite pictures too. Cooper an PaPaw throwing rocks into the river.

Our Chuck wagon dinner and entertainment.

The mountain man came running right up to Cooper and he wasn't even scared!

On our wagon ride.

Cooper acting silly and dancing at the rodeo.

At the Jackson Hole Rodeo and fireworks.

These arches are built out of elk antlers that they shed each winter when they come down out of the mountains to the refuge.

The picture below are at the 4th of July parade. It was in downtown Jackson Hole and the streets were lined. It was one of the best parades I have seen in a long time!

Cooper was playing out side of the cabin. Yes in his under ware and rain boots!

Mom and Dad at Old Faithful

Cooper driving the wagon.

Mom and Cooper checking out the deer from the Jeep.

It was so funny, while we were at the Rodeo we had a family from New York and a family from Florida that had never been to a rodeo. They were loving it!

Cooper loved the balcony in the Cabin. He would stand up there and throw his socks and a Frisbee down!

The flowers were absoutly gorgorus their. That is what mom wanted for her souviner! Ha

Running to meet Gana and PaPaw when we got off the plane.

Great pictures! Looks like fun! I went there with my family when I was 7 or 8 and remember so much about that trip. Even that antler arch! I can't wait to take Daniel and Grant there one day!
