Merry Christmas

I got my Christmas Tree put up in our apartment. I have a bunch more decorations but did not bring them all down here. We had to get a new tree this year. It is pre-lit and turns a slow circle; it is so nice not having to put lights on the tree. I am ready for some snow but doubt we will have any down here. People were still swimming the week of Thanksgiving! I look forward to spending time with family and friends this holiday season.

MY SWEET LITTLE NIECE

This is copied off of my sister Whitney's blog. I just thought this was amazing for a three year old to do and you know how special Morgan (my niece) is so I just wanted to share.

I just had to write a post about this morning... mainly so I never forget it...
I woke up VERY nauseous this morning. I've only thrown up once since I've been pregnant but this morning my nausea was awful. I got up and took a shower b/c I was going to meet some friends at the play area at the mall. I figured they wouldn't invite me any more if I didn't b/c each week I tell them I can't b/c I clean my house on Fridays. After I got out of the shower I started trying to get dressed but ended up in bed! Finally, I couldn't hold it in any longer, so I went to the bathroom and threw up.
Well, my sweet little mother hen was right there with me rubbing and patting my back, saying, "It's gonna be ok Mommy," over and over until I was done. Then she got some toilet paper and said, "Let me wipe your face." It was so sweet! When I was done, she said, "It's gonna be ok. I know how it feels." She had a 24 hr. bug a few weeks ago, so I guess she remembers. Then she was just kissing my forhead and had her arms around me. Oh' it was just the sweetest thing ever. For the next hour, I just laid in bed and she sat right there by me just playing make believe with whatever she could think of. She's going to be such a good big sister!
This picture has nothing to do with my post, but I love it so much that I'm posting it anyways. I think Morgan looks so big in it.

The Weekend

This weekend we went to Scott's cousins wedding in New Braunfels. It was a lot of fun! We got to visit with his family and my sister and her husband. We drove down to Hutto on Friday to get some more stuff and stayed the night. It was good to be home in our bed but I am glad I am able to be in Corpus with Scott. That evening we went to the wedding. Here are some pictures

Moving

Well where do I start. Scott and I have been truly blessed. I was going to be a tuff girl and stay at our house in Hutto until it sold or Scott was finished with training, which ever came first. Scott's boss wanted to make it work where I could be down here with him while he was training. His boss has been very generous. I gave my company my notice and they let me go early because they had someone to cover for me. So Monday after I got off work I loaded up my car and came down to Corpus Christi. I am glad it has gone the way it has because the first week away from Scott was so hard. I was not looking forward to 3 months home alone. I do not have a job yet but have a recruiter looking for one. With any luck maybe I will have a job in a few weeks. I don't like this staying at home all by myself, I get board. We will be back to visit a few weekends a month to check on the house and see everyone.

State Fair

This past weekend Scott and I went to the State Fair. We met my family there and went and watched Aaron Watson (one of my favorites), saw Elsie the Cow, and took Morgan around to different exhibits. We had a lot of fun! We walked by the cow barn and Morgan said, "Those cows are sooo shooey." It was so funny:) We stayed the night with Ashley and Jordan and had a little putt-putt competition. I am not sure who won! Jordan was keeping score! Ha ha. We have a busy few months ahead. Scott is starting his new job in two weeks, a little earlier than planned. We are trying to get everything ready to put our house on the market. Please keep us in your prayers as we are embarking on a new journey. Scott's grandma had a stroke this weekend but is okay and my sister, Whitney, is pregnant again. Yeah! As some of you may know she lost a baby a few months ago and had to have a D&C. Please keep them in your prayers as well.
