Today I am 12 weeks along. My belly is growing and growing. I know most of you won't think that it is very big but I am very proud of it. I am 1 week away from being through my first trimester. Maybe after the 13th week I will have my energy back and won't have nausea anymore. I am mostly nauseous at night. My uterus is a little bigger than a grapefruit. Our baby is now considered a fetus and is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches in length and weighing 1 1/2 ounces by the end of this month. It is about the size of an apple. The head now sits on a neck and takes up about half of the baby's crown-to-rump length; the whorl of a hair pattern is discernible on the scalp. The fetus's eyes are moving closer together and its ears are positioning themselves on the sides of the head. Fingers and toes have soft nails covering them now, and the hands are becoming more functional. Tastebuds have developed, as has the sucking reflex, and twenty buds that will become baby teeth have formed. Baby is making urine now; and excreting it in the amniotic fluid. The external genitalia are now well developed and the heartbeat can be heard. I like to let everyone know what is going on with the baby.

I guess it is good that you get to wear scrubs...you'll fit in them for a long time.
I love getting to read about the development of the baby...cause I don't know most of that stuff...it's neat!
That is really neat...your belly is really cute and you should be proud of it!! Like Ash said I to like reading about the baby it is so interesting. Hope you start feeling better soon!!

Awh, that little tummy is growing. Thanks for the update and picture. You will be showing pretty good by the time we see you. Hopefully the Dr will do a sonogram before you leave there and just maybe we can see what he or she is. Ha...I am patient aren't I. Sorry, but you know I can't resist buying baby stuff and I have to know which one it will be first.
I like your belly, but I think mine is bigger. Ha! I have been reading your blogs all along, but have never posted a comment. Hope to see you soon. Keep posting.
