32 Weeks, Califorina, and Baby Shower

We had our 32 week check up this past Thursday. It all went well and I have gained 18 lbs and am measuring 32 cm. He did blood work to check to see if my iron levels have come up any and said we will do a sonogram this coming Monday just to look at our precious little baby. I can't wait for the sonogram! It seems like it has been a while since we have had one. I can't believe we only have about 6 weeks left!

Scott flew out on Sunday morning the day of my baby shower at church. He was gone the whole week and Cooper and I were glad to have him back home on Friday. Cooper kept telling me "Daddy's not our best friend because he went to California and just left us here." It was so sad! I don't think he really understood he was just going for the week and coming back and that it was for work. He would tell me, "I miss Daddy and want him to come home right now!"

I had a wonderful shower at church and got lots of great stuff!

All of Baby Reese's goodies!

Reese's Room

The final touches are done on Reese's room! I love the way it turned out and had so much fun decorating it. We went to Canton a few weeks ago and bought a few decorations for it but came home with more ideas than decorations. Scott and I both enjoyed making some of the decorations and Scott did a wonderful job painting it. My little sister made bow hanger and a friend from church made the wooden plaque with her name on it that is on the changing table. I am thinking about hanging that outside her room above her door. I plan on putting a canvas of her over the bed after she is born. It turned out just like I dreamed it would!

28 Weeks!!!

We had our 28 week check up this past Thursday. We didn't have a sonogram so I don't have a picture of her. Everything looks good and is going good so far. I measured 29 cm and have gained 16 lbs. Seems like I put on a few extra this month. Haha! I start going every two weeks now which makes it feel like it is getting really close. We got the nursery all painted and the baby bedding in but I still have to finish all the decorating. Scott did a GREAT job on painting her room and I couldn't be more happy with how it is coming along!

TaDa

Looks a little scary here but it turned out perfect!

Daddy was brave and let Cooper in on the painting!

Taping off the stripes was the most tedious part.

Cooper's cousins came down with mom and dad to go to the stock show and parade while we painted. This was the morning after and they were all a little tired!

They were so excited to see each other and I tried to be a good mom and aunt and let them all sleep together but that didn't last long! Haha!

Twenty-four weeks!

We had our twenty-four week check up today. We went in first for our sonogram and Little Miss Reese had her hand over her face and was moving her mouth. We didn't get a good profile picture of her so I didn't include the sono pictures. She is weighing in at 1 lb 8 oz and measuring 24w 6d. When the doctor measured me I measured 28 cm. We are not exactly sure why but the doctor said it could be because I am so petite and there is not much room for her to go or I could have extra fluid. He was going to review the sono results but didn't seem worried about it since she has been consistent in her sono measurements. I have gained a total of 10 lbs so far and feeling pretty good. I can't wait to get started on her nursery! Her bedding should be in next week and I am super excited. Scott's not too thrilled about striping or painting the walls but maybe it won't be too bad.

Christmas 2011!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We started off the weekend before Christmas heading down south to Scott's family then Christmas we spent with my family. Let's just say we are beyond blessed to have such wonderful family's and getting to spend time with them! I will let the pictures do the talking. As you can tell the little ones had a great time playing together and kept us all busy!

Don't know how we got this done but one of mom's request was to have a family picture.

The kids playing in the tent Cooper got from Santa. I think they played in it all day. After Cooper got his tent he was all about hunting and Scott took Cooper on his first hunting trip.

Gana reading to two tired kiddo's.

Mamaw was the patient and the kids were taking care of her.

Roasting some marshmallow's.

We did good to get any non action shots of the kids so this is as good as it gets.

This was a surprise to all of us. My parents had a little barn made for Cooper.

The kids "playing wild" as Cooper says.

All the grandkids got to go up with PaPaw in an Air Tractor. Cooper said, "It was cool but a little scary." My dad said he kept saying he wanted to go longer while he was up in the air.

Playing on Pop's tractor.

Cooper and Bently teaching Mimi how to work the iphone. LOL

The boys wrestling and Cooper was right in the middle of it.

Cooper helped make a Christmas Tree breakfast out of cinnamon rolls!

While we were down south we took Cooper to Bass Pro to see Santa and play the games. He really enjoyed it.

Cooper's Christmas Program

Cooper had his Christmas program at school last night. He didn't do anything but play with the bubbles! Here are a few pictures. He doesn't like to take pictures so I take what I can get!

Cooper telling Santa what he wanted.

Scott being silly and wearing Cooper's antlers and nose.

During the program playing with bubble instead of singing.

20 Weeks

Where do I start? This last month has kind of been a roller coaster. I started bleeding the week before Thanksgiving and was put on bed rest for a week. The doctor thought it might be placenta abruption but thank goodness it wasn't. That is where the placenta detaches from the uterus and the baby doesn't get all the nutrition it needs and stops growing. The bleeding stopped and my placenta moved up in my uterus. We really don't know what caused the bleeding but from doing several sonograms everything looks to be ok now. I have had a couple of days of light spotting since then. The Doctor did say that I am at higher risk for Reese to stop growing and we really have to monitor her growth since I had bleeding in the second trimester. We are doing sonograms every four weeks to make sure her growth curve continues and to check my placenta.
It has been kind of hard on Cooper because I can't pick him up and it was a change for Daddy to be taking him to daycare, picking him up and doing everything for a week. He is doing better now and is very sweet and loving to his sister. He will hug and kiss my belly several times a day and loves to listen to her heartbeat at home. I think he will be a GREAT big brother. I have had a little bit of a cough and he tells me "Mommy, I am sorry you are feeling bad but I am going to take care of you and Reese." So sweet!

My 20 week check-up went well. I have gained six pounds overall. I did find out I am anemic so I am on iron now. Reese is weighing in at 13oz and is in the 77%. Most babies are about 10 1/2 oz at this point and about the size of a banana. I am measuring 23 cm which is a little big but my sono's all say I am 5 days further along. She may be a big one but probably not for long! Haha! During the sonogram she had the hiccups and had her hand up beside her face. It was so cute! I think she looks alot like Cooper. Below is a picture of Reese and the next picture is of Cooper.

Reese at 20 weeks.

I think I was a little further along but here is a picture of Cooper.

I know I look terrible but Tuesday's are my days off so no make-up and the hair doesn't get fixed. LOL
